Daytime date with My Husband.
First time visiting El Tepeyac restaurant.
Our waitress was super nice very attentive . The food was Amazing Tasty & Fresh. El Tepeyac Restaurant was Super laid-back (Felt at Home) Great Family Environment#Downfall on a Weekend.... (out of avocados).
Maybe next time.My Husband loved His red sauce wet carnitas burrito with a side of french fries.
The burrito was humongous!!
The burrito was meaty and so full of flavor so tasty
I ordered the chicken taco /shredded beef enchilada red sauce with the shredded beef flautas arroz/ frijoles.
Wowwww!!!
So flavorful!! Fresh & Delicious!!
We also really love the salsa and the corn tortilla chips. The salsa packed full of Amazing flavor and it had just the right kick of Spices..I'd love the recipe -

After knowing this place was here for about 10 years, I decided to try it on a Friday for lunch break. My wife met up with me.
The food was pretty good, but to slow for a lunch. We ended up waiting 40 minutes from walking in the door, to getting seated, getting our drinks... and then the food arrived. It didn't appear busy.
Maybe I'll give it another shot on a different day to see if it was a one off thing for us. -

Good Authentic Mexican Food in a restaurant with a cozy laid back feel.
Service was good but the food was even better. Starting with the complimentary chips and salsa, the salsa had a good spicy taste really good. I ordered a small bowl of Menudo $8.99 it also comes in large, but I'm so glad I ordered the small because it was a nice serving of a really good Menudo packed with a lot of tripe that was cooked till it was tender with lots of hominy in a good flavorful soup, served with corn tortillas and you get a choice they also have flour tortillas, onions, cilantro, lime slices, oregano, and red chili flakes to add and when my bowl was fully dressed it was Delicious! Also ordered a non alcoholic Sangria $2.50 in the bottle very refreshing.
Hidden in a small shopping center with plenty of parking. El Tepeyac has good food and service. I definitely recommend and will Definitely Return! -

Enjoy coming here for whatever I'm craving!! They also make a mean molcajete.... it's so complete. My husband loves the pescado al a mexicana and orders it a lot. I skip around on my orders but it's so good! Great service too. Reasonable prices. Good for groups and kids.

I finally dined at El Tepeyac, by myself for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality Mexican cuisine served here--and even more so that Lunch Combo Plate B, consisting of a taco, tostado, beans and rice, only cost $8.99.
The combination plate was preceded by a complimentary basket of crunchy homemade Tortilla Chips and Salsa, and I added a very small order of Guac for only $1.50. The guacamole was unusual in that it was creamy but still sported a decided kick.
The Shredded Beef Taco was chock-full of shredded beef nestled with cheese inside a hard and wavy corn tortilla. The Tostado was a hard corn tortilla balancing smooth Refritos, pieces of tomato, lettuce, and orange strands of cheese. Very tasty Refritos and small grain yellow Mexican Rice rounded out a filling and very tasty lunch. Portions were good sized as well as reasonably priced.
The casual atmosphere was fine but downsides were some dried food crap on the menu, and my waiter leaving me hanging in the midst of hot
Salsa and a spicy Guacamole Dip with no water or ordered Iced Tea to douse the flames. He made it clear that he simply forgot, until I reminded him.
So, three and 1/2 stars overall on this initial outing!
